Boys Brigade

The mission statement for the Boys Brigade is “To advance Christ’s Kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness”. This is something which each section of Kilbride’s Boys Brigade takes very seriously. The B.B. is divided into several sections by age:

  • Anchor Boys: This section is for boys aged from P1 to P4. They meet on Tuesday and participate in a variety of activites, worship, crafts, and games.
  • Junior Section: This section is for boys aged between 8 and 11 years. They meet on a Thursday and have weekly Bible stories and teaching, play games, take part in figure marching, and play football.
  • Company Section: The company section is for boys aged 11 to 18 years. They also meet on a Thursday and take part in Bible Class and Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, President & Queen’s Badge courses, and inter Battalion sports.

Each section works on a weekly structured routine, along with a badge scheme. The membership for each section is £25 per session.
